# Overview
Tundra vegetation is made of dwarf shrubs, mosses, sedges, and grasses.
It has a lot of rocks sticking out of the ground and it is quite cold in there, but not as cold as in the snowy tundra.
The soil also contains large amounts of biomass and decomposed biomass that has been stored as methane and carbon dioxide in the permafrost, making the tundra soil a carbon sink.
The tundra biome has mainly two seasons winter and summer.
